Steps to becoming a Licensed Foster Parent:

Attend an orientation meeting
to help you decide if this is the right path for you and answer any questions you may have regarding the process;

Successful completion of the 10 week Parenting Preparedness Training-Model Approach to Partnerships in Parenting, (Florida’s MAPP);

Home Study;

Home visits by qualified trainers to discuss licensing requirement;

Licensing packet is submitted to the Department of Children and Families (DCF) for approval;

Once licensing is granted, the Center for Family and Child Enrichment, Inc. Placement Committee meets to make the most appropriate match between parents and foster children.

Become our Partner

CFCE places children in licensed foster homes that can provide a safe and loving environment.
 
Consider CFCE as a partner during the foster parent licensing process. We provide the following free services:

  •   Parent Preparation Training;
  • A Foster Parent Liaison available to each home;
  • Case Management available 24 hours/ 7 days a week;
  • Professional Medical, Therapeutic, and Legal Services.
